Supported consultations

Your specialist will advise whether you will your local healthcare provider is required to be present for the consultation. If so, you will need to book in with your local GP or specialist at the same time. Please advise the doctor that this will be a telehealth consultation with a Monash Health specialist and book an extended appointment.

To arrange this support, please complete the following steps:

  • Book an appointment with your GP/specialist office on the same date as your Monash Health appointment. We recommend booking an extended appointment that begins 15 minutes prior to your specialist booking in case you GP is running late.
  • Please contact Monash Health to provide our staff with details regarding your healthcare provider involved in the appointment or if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Monash Health contact details will be on your appointment letter.

If you are in the video call and you are unable to join, we will attempt to call you on the phone number provided when you started the call.
