Supported consultations
Your Monash Health specialist will advise whether your GP/local healthcare provider needs to be present for your video call consultation. If so, you will need to book in with your local GP/local healthcare provider at the same time. Please advise your GP/local health provider that this will be a telehealth consultation with a Monash Health specialist and book an extended appointment.
To arrange this support, please complete the following steps:
- Book an appointment with your GP/healthcare provider on the same date as your upcoming Monash Health appointment. We recommend booking an extended appointment that begins 15 minutes prior to your Monash Health specialist booking, in case your GP/health provider is running late.
- Please contact Monash Health to provide our staff with details regarding your GP/healthcare provider involved in the appointment or if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Monash Health contact details can be found on your appointment letter.
If you are unable to join the video call due to technical issues, we will attempt to call you on your phone number provided or your supporting GP/healthcare provider’s phone number.
