Research Support Services facilitates research across the Monash Health sites.
The team manages ethics and governance of new and ongoing studies, review of Quality Assurance activities, monitoring of approved studies, the Emerging Researcher Fellowship program, the shared financial arrangements between Monash Health and Monash University and the honorary researcher applications. We have tried to make these resources and information on processes, policies and procedures as easy to follow as possible. We welcome feedback and suggestions for improving the resources.
2025 Update
The HREC meetings are fully booked for March and April 2025 and unfortunately there is no capacity to accept additional booking requests for these meetings. Researchers are advised to check:
- If the application would be exempt from HREC review via the Quality Assurance and Minimal Risk Projects, QA applications may be submitted at any time.
- If the application has been reviewed by another HREC that holds National Mutual Acceptance accreditation, Monash Health will not duplicate review and will require an application for Site Specific Authorisation prior to commencement.
- If the application requires review by the Monash Health HREC please follow the booking request instructions, bearing in mind the HREC availability Human Research Ethics Applications and Site Authorisation.
