Get involved in Research at Monash Health

Monash Health Research Support Services serves as the central human research administration office overseeing all human research projects conducted at Monash Health and its Monash Health Translation Precinct Partners.

Research Support Services is responsible for the review, approval, monitoring and governance of Monash Health Human Ethics and Research, managing approximately 800 new and 1800 ongoing Human Research projects each year.

The Monash Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) reviews proposals involving Monash Health patients, staff and resources. Additionally, the Monash Health HREC offers a Review Only service for external researchers. The HREC Review Panel operates in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.

Monash Health is accredited under the National Mutual Acceptance Process for the review of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards in research ethics and conduct.
