Get involved in Research at Monash Health

Monash Health Research Support Services is the central human research administration office for all human research projects conducted at Monash Health and its Monash Health Translation Precinct Partners.

Research Support Services is responsible for the review, approval, monitoring and governance of Monash Health Human Ethics and Research. Research Support Services currently monitors around 800 new and 1450 ongoing Human Research projects each year.

The Monash Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) reviews proposals involving Monash Health patients, staff and resources. In addition, the Monash Health HREC also offer a HREC Review Only service for researchers external to Monash Health. The HREC Review Panel function in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.

Monash Health is accredited under the National Mutual Acceptance Process for the review of clinical trials.
