We are the largest maternity provider in Victoria, providing care to over 9,000 women each year across three hospitals: Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital.
Casey Hospital provides primary and secondary level maternity care. Women who develop complications during pregnancy will be transferred to either Dandenong Hospital or Monash Medical Centre (MMC) Clayton dependent upon the level of care required and the bed availability.
Dandenong Hospital provides primary and secondary level maternity care. Women who develop complications during pregnancy requiring a higher level care than available at Dandenong, should be transferred to MMC Clayton.
Monash Medical Centre is the only tertiary level maternity service in Monash Health, where all levels of maternity care are available. Bookings and transfers are prioritised to women and babies who require tertiary level multidisciplinary specialist care for complex or rare maternal fetal conditions.
