Fees as below:

• Australian Medical Student – per elective duration 8 weeks or less – AU$400
• Overseas Medical Student – per elective duration 4 weeks or less – AU$600
• Overseas Medical Student – per elective duration greater than 4 weeks (max. 8 weeks) – AU$1200

Processing time is minimum 4 weeks, from complete application submitted to Monash Doctors Workforce.

Please note: The General Paediatrics team at Monash Children’s Hospital is unable to host medical student electives during the following university semester periods:

• 2026: 26 January – 29 May | 22 June – 23 October
• 2027: 25 January – 28 May | 21 June – 22 October
