Recreation Facilities

Looking for ways to make healthy, sustainable change within your facility? Our team can support you, making the process easy.

How we can support your facility

Using the Victorian Government’s Healthy Choices Guidelines and Vic Kids Eat Well framework, we offer FREE support to help your recreation facility reach these guidelines. Working to improve the healthy eating environment in your facility will support the health and wellbeing of your community.

Our support includes:

  • Conducting menu assessments via FoodChecker
  • Providing menu suggestions and product options to meet the guidelines and needs of the community
  • Access to professional development and training opportunities for your staff
  • Policy development guidance
  • Provision of supporting resources.

Benefits of getting involved

Some examples of the benefits are:

  • Receiving local expert support to guide your setting through the process and build upon healthy changes.
  • Receiving official recognition for meeting the Healthy Choices Guidelines or being a part of the Vic Kids Eat Well movement.
  • Supporting your community’s health and wellbeing while increasing the promotion of your organisation to the community.
  • Working at your own pace with support tailored accordingly.

It’s free to get involved, and so is our ongoing support.

How does it work?
