Monash Health has welcomed 140 junior doctors to our health service this week as they begin their placements with us over the next 6-12 months.
While at Monash Health, the junior doctors will be deployed across all Monash Health sites and work within various specialities such as emergency, paediatrics, intensive care, palliative care, and psychiatry.
This year’s mid-year intake is significant, surpassing last year’s intake of 120 junior doctors and represents an important step forward in our ongoing mission to provide the best care to our community.
Within this new cohort of doctors is a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, including 49 doctors joining us from overseas, including England, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Brazil.
Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Medical Services, Associate Professor Anjali Dhulia, welcomed the new junior doctors starting at Monash Health.
“With a record 140 junior doctors joining our team this week, Monash Health continues to be a place of choice for those starting their medical careers.
“We are so proud of each and every new starter who has chosen Monash Health to make a positive difference supporting our teams and delivering great outcomes for patients.”
We wish all junior doctors the best at Monash Health as they bring their fresh perspectives and dedication to the patients we care for across our health service.
