Areas of Support Services
Patient Services
Patient Services provide valuable support and assistance to our patients throughout their hospital stay is a crucial part of our healthcare service.
Roles within this team are responsible for ensuring patients’ comfort, safety, and well-being, and contributing to a positive and supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities in our Patient Services team include but are not limited to:
- Delivering patient meals
- Cleaning clinical areas and environmental spaces
- Transfer and cleaning of equipment
- Collection of supplies and running errands
- Assisting ward-based teams
- Patient transport
Environmental Services
Our Environmental Services team help us maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across our sites at Monash Health.
Members of this team are responsible for ensuring that our sites are clean, sanitised, and free from potential hazards, contributing to the overall well-being and safety of patients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities for our Environmental Services team can include but are not limited to:
- General cleaning of surfaces, equipment, and fixtures to prevent the spread of infections
- Cleaning clinical areas and environmental spaces
- Waste disposal, including clinical waste, recyclables, and general waste
- Linen transportation and restocking
Food Services
Our Food Services teams at Monash Health provide quality nutrition and hydration for our patients while maintaining the highest food service standard.
Their dedication and attention to detail are vital in supporting the healthcare team and ensuring a positive dining experience for our patients.
There are numerous roles available in our Food Services teams at all our hospitals and in our Central Production Kitchen.
Responsibilities in our Food Services team can include but are not limited to:
- Food preparation
- Menu monitoring
- Meal distribution
- Tray assembly
- Catering support
