2027 Impact Area

Funds raised at the 2027 Monash Children’s Hospital Walk will support our paediatric cardiology team, who care for children with heart conditions at every stage — from inside the womb, through to infancy, childhood and adolescence.

With your support, Monash Children’s can establish Australia’s first heart MRI program for unborn babies, helping doctors plan care earlier and giving families clearer answers sooner.

The introduction of a ‘Fetal Smart-Sync Device’ in fetal cardiac MRIs, will give our care teams a more detailed picture of a baby’s heart and heartrate before birth, improving how complex heart conditions are diagnosed, monitored and treated.

For parents-to-be, this technology will provide greater clarity, more confidence and a carefully planned pathway to care for their baby’s condition, so they can receive the right support, in the right place, from the moment they enter the world.

Your fundraising will help reimagine care for families and strengthen the future of paediatric cardiac care for our community.
