To be delivered through the 2026-27 Victorian State Budget, an Urgent Care Centre will open at Cranbourne Community Hospital later this year.

In addition, the Victorian Government announced 6 additional dialysis chairs for Cranbourne Community Hospital.

Professor Eugine Yafele, CEO of Monash Health, welcomed the announcement.

‘I thank the Victorian Government for investing in Monash Health and the community we have the privilege of caring for,’ Prof Yafele said.

‘This announcement allows Monash Health to expand our world-leading care and deliver better health outcomes for our community.

‘An Urgent Care Centre and new dialysis chairs at Cranbourne Community Hospital will help ensure people in Melbourne’s south-east can access the right care, when they need it, closer to home.’

Cranbourne Community Hospital opened its doors to patients on 6 October 2025. The hospital currently provides a range of health services, including dialysis, pharmacy, pathology, adult mental health, and an ophthalmology clinic that delivers perioperative care for ophthalmic day surgery procedures.
