Being active is important, but finding the time or motivation can be challenging. That’s why real stories matter—by sharing how, where, and why we move, we can inspire others to take that first step toward a more active lifestyle.

Find out how someone you may know keeps moving—and what it means to them.

Since 2023, Monash Health’s Health Promotion Team has partnered with Reclink, Football Victoria, and the City of Greater Dandenong to deliver GO Soccer Mums – an inclusive, non-competitive soccer program designed for women and gender-diverse people. The program aims to improve the region’s lower-than-average physical activity levels by addressing common barriers such as lack of confidence, competing priorities, cost, and fear of judgement.
Delivered at Ross Reserve in Noble Park, the program offers a fun, welcoming space to learn basic football skills, make social connections, and enjoy movement without pressure or competition. Many participants had never played soccer before but now feel more confident and motivated to stay active.
Stay tuned for details on when GO Soccer Mums will be kicking off again.

Location: Afri-Aus Care Inc, 562 Springvale Road, Springvale South.
