Summer safety: tips for families from paediatric emergency doctors

Summer is here, and whether you have plans to take to the water, set out on a road-trip, or have fun in the sun, we’ve got advice to help everyone enjoy the season safely.
The paediatric Emergency Department at Monash Medical Centre has created a video packed with practical safety advice.

The video was created with families in mind and provides clear, actionable tips on:

  • water safety

  • sun protection

  • natural dangers

  • seatbelts

  • and household hazards.

The video features 4 of our paediatric emergency doctors, Dr Tobias van Hest, Dr Preeti Ramaswamy, Dr Erin Mills, and Dr Adam West.

Drawing on their expertise and real-world experience, they offer valuable insights and guidance that can make a real difference during the holiday period.

We hope you have a wonderful summer.
