Announcing our 2023 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards finalists!

Finalists for the 2023 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards have been announced and we are delighted to have several Monash Health teams make the finalist list in four categories. 

The Awards are an annual celebration of the achievements of our healthcare workers and our service to the community. The categories reflect Victoria’s healthcare priorities, and the ability of our sector to drive change and improve health outcomes consistently. 

We’re extremely proud to announce Monash Health as finalists in the following categories: 

  • Celebrating Innovation in Healthcare – Monash Health’s community-based chronic disease Nurse Practitioners and Senior Medical Consultants for reviewing patients and engaging them in the option to receive safe care at home.  
  • Creating a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Health System – Monash Health’s Pathology Stewardship and Electronic Medical Record Optimisation team for dramatically reducing unnecessary blood tests for sustainability purposes and better patient experience. 
  • Excellence in Aged Care – Monash Health Residential Aged Care for customised, residential care specific, Prevention of Occupational Violence and Aggression (POVA) training package.
  • Health Service Partnership of the Year – Monash Health, Alfred Health, Better Health Network, Peninsula Health and South Eastern Primary Health Network, for leading the way in building a collaborative model that encompasses acute, primary, and community healthcare partners. 

The winners will be revealed at the 17th Victorian Public Healthcare Awards Gala Night on 16 November 2023.
