The Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing, offered by the Monash University School of Nursing and Midwifery, in partnership with Monash Health, prepares nurses for leadership roles in a clinical specialisation. The stream Medical/Surgical Nursing enables the development of advanced practice knowledge and leadership in specialist practice including skills to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate health care, as well as the ability to formulate policy for a diverse and multicultural society.
The course combines on-line learning with face to face workshops and clinical practice.
The course is recommended for nurses working in medical/surgical wards across a range of different ward specialties including but not limited to: gastroenterology, general medicine and surgery, respiratory, endocrine, neuroscience, colorectal and vascular.
