
Allied Health Assistants are a highly valued workforce within Monash Health and work within a range of disciplines including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, social work, exercise physiology, podiatry and in other multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings.Â

Each year, Monash Health hosts AHA Day, which is a national conference for AHAs across Australia and New Zealand.Â
In 2020, Monash Health collaborated with the Victorian Department of Health in the 3-year Victorian Allied Health Assistant Workforce Project culminating in the development of workforce recommendations and resources to optimise utilisation of AHAs in all sectors. These recommendations and resources are now being implemented across Victoria. Â
