Monash Health named finalist in 2023 HESTA Australia Nursing and Midwifery Awards

Monash Health has been announced as a finalist in the 2023 HESTA Australia Nursing and Midwifery Awards for ‘Outstanding Organisation’.

HESTA has recognised Monash Health for establishing a recruitment pipeline for Registered Undergraduate Students of Nursing and Midwifery (RUSON/Ms) to help sustain a flexible nursing and midwifery workforce to care for our patients throughout the pandemic and beyond.

This provided invaluable on the job experience and supported RUSON/Ms transition to increased work readiness as they finished their studies and entered the nursing and midwifery professions.

The initiative saw our wonderful RUSON/Ms, nurses and midwives deliver better health outcomes for the community, with improved patient care from a confident, flexible, and adaptive workforce that positively influenced our team’s wellbeing.

Well done to all involved for this fantastic achievement.
