Dr Hashrul Rashid named RACP Trainee of the Year

Monash Health is thrilled to announce that Dr Hashrul Rashid was awarded the prestigious Trainee of the Year Award for 2020 by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) upon completion of his advanced training in cardiology.

This award, bestowed by the RAC Fellowship Committee, recognises the highest achieving trainee who has shown significant leadership, and contributions to education and training.

Dr Rashid’s thesis investigates the diagnosis, impact and predictors of leaflet thrombosis diagnosed with CT following transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

Dr Rashid would like to acknowledge the numerous mentors and colleagues at Monash Health that have helped shape his career. He particularly thanks current supervisors Prof James Cameron, A/Prof Arthur Nasis and A/Prof Robert Gooley for their unwavering support and mentorship.

Congratulations Dr Rashid on this wonderful achievement.
