Dr Elizabeth Liow
BMedSci MBBS FRACP
Dr Elizabeth Liow is a medical oncologist and clinician-researcher specialising in genitourinary cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers. She completed her medical degree at The University of Melbourne and a medical oncology fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Dr Liow has broad research expertise. Her previous work with the Centre for Biostatistics and Clinical Trials (BaCT) focused on supporting robust clinical trial design and execution. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), generating real-world evidence to inform kidney cancer care through a national registry and biobank. Building on her experience as an Australia and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP) Research Fellow, Dr Liow leads collaborative clinical research both nationally and internationally. As an active contributor to the International Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Database Consortium (IMDC), she provides vital data that helps guide kidney cancer treatment and improve outcomes for patients worldwide. In parallel, she serves as Principal Investigator on several prostate and bladder cancer trials at Monash Health. Committed to scholarly excellence, she is recognised for her work as an author, speaker, peer reviewer, and Adjunct Lecturer at Monash University.
