Professor Zoe McQuilten

Professor Zoe McQuilten (MBBS, PhD, FRACP, FCRPA) is a consultant haematologist with expertise in malignant and non-malignant haematology, transfusion medicine, haemostasis and supportive care. She is also Head of the Cancer Research Program and Deputy Director of the Transfusion Research Unit within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University.

Professor McQuilten’s clinical and research interests focus on improving outcomes for patients with blood cancers and other haematological conditions through better supportive care, safer use of blood products, and evidence-based practice. She leads a range of national and international clinical trials and collaborative research programs in transfusion medicine, major haemorrhage, bone marrow failure syndromes and immunoglobulin therapy.

She is actively involved in developing clinical guidelines and healthcare policy and holds leadership roles within the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group and several international research collaborations.
