Research
The Monash Gastroenterology Unit is heavily involved in research including:
- Clinical trials in hepatology, hepatocellular carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease
- Basic science research in hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease
Education
The Monash Gastroenterology department provides education and training to junior and senior medical staff.
Educational activities include supervision and training in endoscopy, weekly journal club / clinical science meetings and weekly registrar education.
