Clinical Placement Hours
Clinical placement hours will vary between sites and should be discussed when you contact your site coordinator prior to commencing your clinical placement
It is an expectation you will wear smart casual work attire with closed in toe/heel shoes. You will need to wear your university ID badge at all times.
Suggested preparation for clinical placements
Please contact your allocated site student coordinator two weeks prior to your placement to receive the relevant information on what you are required to prepare before commencing. It is recommended that you ask your site student coordinator if there is any required reading that needs to be completed prior to commencing.
Key contact information
The Dietetic student coordinator will be your key contact for any general placement inquiries.
Your site student coordinator will be allocated to you once you have been allocated a placement site. Your site coordinator is your key contact for anything site specific e.g. calling in unwell, starting/finishing times, pre-reading etc.
Dietetic specific documentation requirements
Monash Health Nutrition and Dietetics have developed documentation guidelines that are aligned with the eNCPT (Nutrition Care Process Terminology) and National Standards. It is an expectation that students will follow the Monash Health documentation guidelines.
