The Psychiatric Triage Service is the usual entry point to our mental health services.

Consumers, carers and health professionals can contact the Psychiatric Triage Service.

We are the largest mental health provider in Victoria, providing comprehensive services in both hospital and community settings.

Acute mental health services

Eligibility to access Southern Health mental health services is based on geographic region. Go to the links (at right) for the maps of the catchment served by Southern Health mental health services.

Alcohol and drug services – south east

Monash Health Drug and Alcohol Service is a service within the Mental Health Program of Monash Health committed to providing opportunities for change and growth for people affected by problematic alcohol and drug use.

Child and adolescent services

Young people experiencing emotional, behavioural or mental health problems can use this service. We help young people work through serious problems and who are unable to improve their situations.

Counselling

Psychologists, social workers and nurse-family therapists offer counselling, both in community health centres and through home visits.

Mental Health Community services

We offer four Community Mental Health Centres and an Early Psychosis service.

Rehabilitation services are provided through residential facilities and community teams.
