Eating Disorder Treatment at Monash Health

The Wellness and Recovery Centre (WRC), is a specialist Eating Disorder program that offers comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment to individuals affected by Eating Disorders.

Eating disorders we treat include Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Eating Disorders not otherwise specified.

The program is staffed by a specialist multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Dieticians, Family Therapists and Social Workers.

Treatment options at WRC include the following:

Adult Outpatient Clinic: Based at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, this clinic offers treatment to individuals aged 18 years and over.
Day Program: The Day Program is located in Chadstone and provides intensive treatment to individuals aged 12-24 years.

Adult Inpatient Unit: Located at Dandenong Hospital, the inpatient unit offers intensive support to individuals 18 years of age and over.

All treatment programs at WRC aim to improve physical and emotional wellbeing by normalising eating behaviour, restoring/stabilising weight and addressing unhelpful thoughts that are contributing to the Eating Disorder. We also offer a Secondary Consultation Service to assist GPs and other primary care providers.
