Podiatry
Podiatrists are experts in caring for the health of your feet and ankles. They do this through exercises, orthotics and footwear.
What we do
Podiatrists work with babies, toddlers, children and adolescents. They work on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
Podiatrists are also able to diagnose and treat any complications which affect the lower limb and play an important role in maintaining mobility.
Conditions treated include those resulting from bone and joint disorders, soft tissue and muscular pathologies as well as neurological, dermatological and circulatory disease.
Who can use this service?
People who can use this service
- children who live, work, study or attend pre-school or child-care in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, or Cardinia Shire
- OR cannot access local services due to poor transport accessibility
- OR service is not provided by local community health service
People who cannot use this service
- children who come from high-income families
- clients who are eligible for Early Childhood Intervention, Specialist Schools, NDIS, WorkCover, or TAC. We cannot offer them services unless the referral is related to an acute injury or illness which is unrelated to their disability. They should be able to receive therapy support through the programs or funding bodies already mentioned.
- clients with a developmental diagnosis such as Cerebral Palsy, Asperger’s, Autism, global developmental delay unless the referral is related to an acute injury or illness unrelated to their disability.

Anyone can make a referral for community Podiatry services.

Cost
The charge for this service is based on the family income.
Where services are delivered
- We provide consultations at Springvale and Cranbourne, Pakenham, Dandenong, Doveton College and Bridgewood School.
Operating hours
We are open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
