Consumer Review Online

Consumer Review Online is an opportunity for our consumers to provide input and feedback to the hospital on quality improvement projects that will affect patients, families and carers.

This could include review of new Parent Information Sheets, participating in surveys or providing feedback on quality improvement initiatives.

Please note we are currently only operating Consumer Review Online for Monash Childrens Hospital

How does this work?

Members of the group will be sent documents or surveys by email asking them to provide their input or feedback via return email. Once the project is finalised, members will be sent the final version of the document or survey so they can see how their input has been used.

All personal information remains confidential and will only be used for the purpose of consumer participation activities at Monash Health. Personal information remains totally separate from your Monash Health medical record.

Who can join?

Parents of children who are being treated at Monash Childrens Hospital or who have received treatment in the past. This could be in the Emergency Department, inpatient ward, day surgery, intensive care or outpatient clinics at any of our sites.

To be eligible you must:

  • have experience of Monash Health services as either a patient, carer, or family member of a patient
  • be interested in health service improvement
  • be willing to contribute on a voluntary basis
  • not currently be a Monash Health employee
  • not represent an organisation or business interest

How does this differ from the Consumer Advisor Program?

Consumer Review Online is for people who are happy to review documents or participate in surveys from home however prefer not to be involved in committees and working groups.

Consumer Review Online does not require police checks, working with children checks and code of conduct agreements that are required for the Consumer Advisor Program.
