The Continence Clinic is a specialist service with a multi-disciplinary approach to the management and treatment of bladder and bowel issues including; urinary and faecal incontinence, urinary and faecal urgency, frequency, constipation and or pelvic floor dysfunction. The team comprises continence nurse consultants, continence physiotherapists, dietitians, and geriatricians and operates out of Monash Health sites at Dandenong, Kingston and Pakenham. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For residents living in the Cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia Shire and parts of the Cities of Bayside, Kingston and Monash.
  • Clients must have a suspected or confirmed bladder, bowel or pelvic floor issue
  • Appointments:
    • Clinic appointments require own transport
    • Nursing appointments are both clinic-based and home-based.
    • Home-based appointments are within the Monash Health catchment areas and must be to address goals specific to the home environment.
    • Medical, Physiotherapy and Dietetics appointments are clinic only.
  • People accessing NDIS can be referred if the meet the eligibility criteria above.
