Healthy Koori Kids is a service for Aboriginal children aged 0-17 years who are at risk of entering or are in out-of-home care. The service offers a multidisciplinary team comprising a Paediatrician, Paediatric Psychologist, Speech Therapist, and Aboriginal Health Workers, providing a fortnightly clinic to address children’s health needs. Please note: there are no fees for Aboriginal Health services.

Eligibility Criteria

This service is for:
  • Children aged 0-17 years who are with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background.
  • Children with case management through DFFH, not under the current care of a Paediatrician through another service and who require health and developmental services via a multidisciplinary team
  • There are no catchment or boundary restrictions

  • Copy of current protection order
  • Child’s Cultural Plan (if available)
  • GP 715 Health Assessment report

Include all patient demographic and clinical details as well as relevant investigation results.
