CCE undertakes reviews of the evidence to inform decision-making for clinical practice, policy and quality improvement initiatives.
CCE conduct the following types of evidence synthesis, all of which are dependant on the needs of the requestor:
- Systematic Reviews: include a comprehensive systematic search of evidence, reporting is technical and explicit
- Rapid Reviews: include a systematic search, limited resources searched, no appraisal of evidence, broad themes described
- Scoping Reviews: include broad themes of interest and iterative searching
- Evidence Snapshots: include a narrow topic, iterative search approach and limited reporting
