Research and innovation

Monash Health brings together clinical excellence, research capability and integrated professional support services to improve health outcomes for our community and beyond.

Our research at a glance

Across Monash Health, we support:

  • more than 1,600 active research studies
  • over 600 clinical trials across 30+ specialties
  • four dedicated clinical trials centres
  • more than 1,000 peer-reviewed publications each year
  • and a broad network of local, national and international research collaborations

These capabilities reflect the scale and diversity of research activity across our health service and our strong focus on translating evidence into improved clinical care.

Our research ecosystem connects clinicians, researchers, industry partners and specialist support services, including research governance teams and health science librarians, to enable high-quality research across every stage of the research lifecycle, from concept development through to translation into practice.
