Visitors and patients who need to access Casey Hospital during October 2026 are advised of nearby road closures that will impact vehicle and pedestrian access on Clyde Road, including access to Kangan Drive and Casey Hospital.
Please allow extra time for travel, especially during the times below.

Clyde Road will be completely closed in both directions between Centre Road and Enterprise avenue, with no access to Clyde Road from the Princes Fwy from:

8pm on Friday 2 October until 5am on Monday 5 October (all weekend)

8pm on Monday 5 October until 5am on Tuesday 6 October (overnight between Monday and Tuesday)

8pm on Friday 16 October until 5am on Monday 19 October (all weekend)

8pm on Monday 19 October until 5am on Tuesday 20 October (overnight between Monday and Tuesday)

During this time access to Kangan Drive will be via Bryn Mawr Boulevard and Soldiers Road, with detours in place via the Princes Fwy and O’Shea Road.

During this time you will be able to access Kangan Drive if approaching from the north or off Princes Fwy, but not if you approach on Clyde Road from the south.

Getting to Casey Hospital
Casey Hospital is located at 62-70 Kangan Drive, Berwick 3806.
Casey Hospital is currently undergoing upgrades and there are changes to pedestrian and vehicle movement around the site. The public ground-level car park is closed to allow for site preparation work to commence on the expansion of the emergency department (refer to the map below).
Patients and visitors should park in the new public multi-deck car park.
The entrance to the emergency department remains the same however there are new drop-off bays along the interior road near the hospital’s main entry.
Services at Casey Hospital
Services include an emergency department, general medical, mental health, rehabilitation, surgical, and ambulatory services. Casey Hospital also provides paediatrics, maternity and special care nursery services.
Elective surgery admission process
Your doctor will complete for you an Elective Admission form. On confirmation of your booking, our booking office will send you a Health Status Questionnaire to complete and return to our booking office. Upon admission to the hospital please complete and sign the necessary formal admission form. You will be asked to provide a few personal details, such as contact telephone numbers, Medicare number and your doctor’s name.
