Sexual and reproductive health services – Community-based

Monash Health’s Sexual Health Hubs are located at Dandenong and Cranbourne. The Hubs are staffed by female doctors and sexual health nurses.

Services include:

  • Contraception- Education, advice and treatment (Implanon and Intra-Uterine Device insertion)
  • Unplanned pregnancy – 9 weeks gestation (Medical Termination)
  • Cervical Screening test provision
  • Breast Health – information and referral
  • Nursing assessments, advice and referral
  • Pharmacy and Pathology onsite
  • Access to Monash Health Imaging

Priority is given to clients who are:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Refugees and people seeking asylum
  • People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Orange Door and ChildFIRST clients

Days of service/sites

Specialist Sexual and Reproductive Health Hubs operate 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and  Friday from 9am to 5pm
  • Thursday from 10am to 7pm

GP appointments are available:

  • Wednesday from 10am to 2pm
    • 122 Thomas Street, Dandenong (no GP referral required)
  • Every second Friday from 9am to 5pm
    • Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre, Sladen Street, Cranbourne (no GP referral required)

Surgical Termination of Pregnancy (6 – 14 weeks gestation):

For surgical terminations, a referral from a GP is required, and a blood test and ultrasound are completed. If the phone isn’t answered, please leave a message. Calls will be returned within 2 working days. Gestational limits for surgical termination is 6 to 14 weeks.
