Dr Shahla Vilcassim

Dr Shahla Vilcassim a clinical and laboratory haematologist at Monash Health with a special interest in malignant haematology, in particular MDS. She is also part of the Monash Haemoglobinopathy Service with an interest in thalassaemia and bone marrow failure syndromes. She is currently completing her PhD at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research where she is looking at the role of iron dysregulation in the Myelodysplastic syndromes.

Shahla is the Cancer at Home medical lead as part of the Adult Hospital in the Home Program at Monash Health.
