Dr Ashwini Bennett

Ashwini Bennett is a clinical and laboratory haematologist (FRACP FRCPA), and is the Co-Chair for the Monash Health Blood Management Committee, and the Haematology lead at the Victorian Heart Hospital. Her particular interests include thrombosis haemostasis (e.g. immune thrombocytopenia), obstetric haematology, and laboratory haematology (e.g. coagulation assays and transfusion) and she is actively involved in various professional and research activities in these areas. She is a member of the International Society of Laboratory Haematology (ISLH) Haemostasis and Platelets committee, the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) Haematology Advisory Committee, and the Thrombosis Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand (THANZ) Clinical Trials Group. She is a recipient of the ASTH scientific and education grant, HSANZ Investigator award, and the CSL Professor Heimburger award. Ashwini is also an Adjunct Lecturer with Monash University.
