IBD Nurses
Monash Health has two IBD Clinical Nurse Consultants, Amanda and Megan, who are the primary link between our patients and the treating medical and surgical team. They help ensure our patients receive the highest of clinical care and management.
Monash Health IBD nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and provide the following services:
- Provide specialist nursing advice through the IBD Helpline (see below)
- Coordinate the initiation and monitoring of biologic and thiopurine medications in patients
- Assist in the coordination of research to ensure we are able to provide our patients with the latest developments in IBD care
- Provide support and education for IBD patients, their families and GPs
IBD Helpline
The IBD Nurses (via the IBD Helpline) are the first point of contact for all our IBD patients, doctors and nurses: no question is ever a silly question for them!
