What we do

The Immunisation team at Monash Health provides several services to the community:

  • National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIP) to current inpatients and outpatients
  • Pertussis (whooping cough) and influenza immunisation for pregnant women
  • Assistance with complex immunisation issues
  • Review of catch-up immunisation plans and advice
  • Immunisation Adverse Event Management
  • Immunisation Outpatient Clinic
  • Immunisation resource for healthcare providers delivering vaccines in primary care
  • Sedation pathway for patients with needle phobia and anxiety associated with vaccine administration.
      • All sedation appointments require a referral, please contact the team for more information.
  • BCG clinic for children up to the age of 5 years with GP referral.
  • All BCG referrals must be submitted by your GP via HealthLink and must include the following:
      • Patient details including date of birth
      • Address and contact mobile number
      • Medicare card number including Ref No.
      • Estimated date of travel

    Omission of these details may delay the booking of an appointment. Please note, we no longer accept emailed or faxed referrals.

MPOX vaccinations

MPOX vaccinations are now available to people at risk.

Monash Health’s South East Public Health Unit is also working with health partners in the south east of Melbourne to deliver free vaccinations to people at high-risk of contracting MPOX. Read more about MPOX vaccination and clinic locations at https://sephu.org/monkeypox/

Influenza vaccinations

Free flu vaccination is available for all Monash Health patients, their families, and caregivers aged 6 months and older.

Located in Suite I Jessie McPherson Private Consulting Suite, immunisations are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:45pm. No appointments are necessary.
