Podiatry – Paediatrics Community

• prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs
• diagnosis and treatment of any complications affecting the lower limb and play an important role in maintaining mobility
• conditions including those resulting from bone and joint disorders, soft tissue and muscular pathologies as well as neurological, dermatological and circulatory disease
• nail care.

This service is for children 0-16 years of age:

• Children who live, work, study or attend pre-school or child-care in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, or Cardinia Shire
• OR cannot access local services due to poor transport accessibility

This service is not for:

• high-income families
• children who are eligible for Early Childhood Intervention, Specialist Schools, NDIS, WorkCover, or TAC. We cannot offer them services unless the referral is related to an acute injury or illness which is unrelated to their disability. They should be able to receive therapy support through the programs or funding bodies already mentioned.
• children with a developmental diagnosis such as Cerebral Palsy, Asperger’s, Autism, global developmental delay unless the referral is related to an acute injury or illness unrelated to their disability.
