Podiatrists deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Conditions treated include those resulting from bone and joint disorders, soft-tissue and muscular pathologies as well as neurological, circulatory disease and managing lower limb complications from those living with diabetes. Podiatrists can also diagnose and treat any complications which affect the lower limb and play an important role in maintaining mobility.
Our services are part of a multidisciplinary Allied Health Team which can refer clients to other services and group activities to help improve health, wellbeing and social connection.
Eligibility Criteria
This service is for people aged 18-65 with a disability or long-term impairment living in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey or Cardinia Shire.
This service is not:
- for people 65 years and older. Please refer through the My Aged Care portal.
- available for Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management Plans
- for routine nail care
