Community-based (Multi Disciplinary Centre) Nurses provide services to clients who have experienced sexual assault or family violence, and their non-offending family members. Nurses work closely with MDC stakeholders, including Police, Child Protection and Counsellors.

There are 7 MDCs in Victoria – Monash Health MDCs are in Dandenong and Seaford.

Services include:

  • Free and confidential health support to women, men and children who have experienced sexual assault and or family violence, and their non-offending family members
  • Assistance with access to:
    • Doctors
    • Dental services
    • Mental health services
    • Sexual health services
    • immunisation services
    • allied health services
    • health information
    • assisted referral for health issues
    • education for all health issues

Eligibility Criteria

This service is for people of all ages who have been impacted by sexual assault and/or family violence residing in Monash Health or Peninsula Health catchments.
