Applying for the 2026 Monash Health Graduate Program

Eligibility

To apply for the limited 2026 graduate positions, candidates must: 

  • Have been eligible for the PMCV 2025 graduate match and remain unmatched. 
  • Anticipate course completion between January 2025 and June 2026. 

Application Steps 

Please complete the steps below in order: 

1. Complete the Digital Application Form 

  • Download a PDF copy of the completed form 
  • Upload this PDF under the ‘Resume’ field when submitting your application on the Monash Health Careers Hub
    (This replaces a CV and cover letter) 

2. Provide an Academic Transcript 

  • Include the full transcript with grading key page 
  • Upload this document under the ‘Cover Letter’ field on the Careers Hub 

3. Working with Children Check 

  • Provide a current WWCC (Volunteer or Employee accepted for application purposes) 

4. External candidates only 

  • Upload a PDF of your Immunisation History Statement showing annual influenza vaccine 

5. Submit your application 

  • Prepare all documents, create/login to your Monash Health Careers account, and apply to Job Advertisement ID #6621 before 4 February 2026 
  • Current Monash Health employees must apply via their eHub employee account 

6. PMCV unmatched candidates 

  • Have your PMCV candidate ID numbers from Round 1 and Round 2 ready to enter

Clinical reference requirements

Candidates are required to follow PMCV referee guidelines available on the 2025-2026 Candidate Handbook on their website.

Commencement Requirements

Successful commencement in the Graduate Program is subject to:

  • Completion of a police check (Fit2Work)
  • Confirmed registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
  • Submission of a valid Employee Working with Children’s Check Card
  • Evidence of immunisations as required by Monash Health policy and procedure
  • Ability to pass a Fit Test, with an adequate seal on an N95 mask
  • Ability to fulfil all position requirements, including working a minimum of 0.84EFT (64 hours per fortnight) on a rotating roster from Monday – Sunday
  • Evidence of full working rights

Successful candidates who do not meet these requirements by the nominated date in the offer of employment may be withdrawn from the Graduate Program.
