The Monash Health Neurosurgery department, is made of Neurosurgery faculty from one of Australia globally ranked Universities, Monash University. The department offers a full range of neurosurgical services and research, with a globally trained faculty. Care extends from neonatal infants to senior adults.
To provide world leading neurosurgical care to save our patients (their lives, and quality of life), provide ground-breaking neurosurgical research, to educate and train the next generation of world-class academic neurosurgeons and to lead implementation of cutting-edge innovation to improve the quality of patient care.
The department of Neurosurgery has been providing outstanding care to the Victorian community for decades. The ability to provide world leading care through research and innovation has recently expanded by the construction of the Monash Children’s Hospital and the development of the Monash Health Translational Precinct. Future construction of a new tower will further enhance the department clinical, research and educational capabilities.
