Services offered – the following health professionals offer home visits:
There is no fee for the home visit by the health professional.
Structural work, such as installing a ramp or hand rails, may need to be fully funded by yourself or you may be eligible for financial assistance. Your therapist will discuss the funding options with you before any work is commenced.
Equipment, such as mobility or bathroom aids, may need to be fully funded by yourself or you may be eligible for funding assistance. Your therapist will discuss the funding options with you at your appointment.
The decision to make a home visit is made once your therapist has assessed you in the clinic and consulted with you and/or your carer/family.
Home visits are completed at the discretion of the health professional.
Generally speaking we can see you at home if you live within 45mins by car from the Kingston Centre.
Our clinic staff make every effort to give patients appointments as promptly as possible. However due to the demand for our services there are times when there is a waiting period before a therapist can visit you at home. If your need for a home visit is urgent, please talk to your therapist.
After your initial home visit, the therapist will send a letter to your local doctor only if you request it.
