You may be reading this because you recently missed a specialist consulting (outpatient) appointment.
We know things happen that can prevent you or your family member from attending an appointment. Monash Health had more than 70,000 missed specialist appointments in 2024, and this greatly impacts our ability to provide timely care to our community.
If you can’t make your appointment, please let us know in advance. That way, someone else may be able to take it and get the care they need sooner.
We may have sent you a text message and/or letter asking you to contact us within 28 days if you still require the appointment.
We have not rebooked an appointment for you.
If you still need an appointment, you must contact us to rebook your appointment within 28 days of your missed appointment.
Or, if you no longer need an appointment, please let us know so we can offer the place to someone else who is waiting.
Alternatively, phone 03 8572 5650Â (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm) and talk with a member of our team or leave a message to be called back.
If we do not hear from you within 28 days of your missed appointment, you will be discharged from the service.
If you require an appointment after this time, you will need a new referral from your general practitioner (GP). As appointments for this clinic are in high demand, it is possible that you will return to a waiting list for the service.
