Courses offered by our partner universities

Deakin University: Graduate Certificate/Diploma of Nursing Practice (Intensive Care) commencing in February.  Mid-year enrolment available in July for entry into Diploma only.  Deakin University has a Trimester model and requires enrolment applications by end October. Monash University: Master of Nursing (Critical Care) with early exit options at Certificate and Diploma level commencing in February.  Check the website for details.

Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Intensive/Critical Care

Students must enrol directly with the selected partner University as well as apply for employment in one of the Monash Health Intensive Care Units at our Clayton and Dandenong sites.  Assessments include clinical skills competencies conducted in the Intensive Care workplace in addition to University examinations and written assignments.

Intensive Care Unit: Monash Medical Centre Clayton

The Intensive Care Unit at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton is a 20 bed combined adult and paediatric unit.  Specialised services include cardiothoracics, renal, neurology, obstetrics, surgical and general adult and paediatrics.

Intensive Care Unit: Dandenong Hospital

Dandenong Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a recently commissioned 14 bed unit designed to accommodate the highly technical and care specific needs of critically ill and high dependency patients.  A significant proportion of patients arrive from the emergency department and post op via the operating theatre.
