Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Open Board is a public event that brings together employees, consumers, partners, and community members. It’s a chance to hear from our leaders, learn about our performance and priorities, and take part in shaping what comes next.
This year’s event will feature:
- Highlights and outcomes from our 2024–25 Annual Report.
- The launch of our new Monash Health Strategy 2026–31.
- An open conversation with our community about how we can work together to reimagine care.
Employees, consumers, external stakeholders, community leaders and community members are all welcome to attend.

Previous Event: 2024 Annual General Meeting and Open Board
The 2024 Annual General Meeting and Open Board took place on Thursday 5 December 2024 at Clayton Bowls Club.
More than 60 people from community organisations within our catchment joined our Board, senior leadership team and many employees from across Monash Health to hear our achievements and plans for the future.
Board Chair Dipak Sanghvi introduced proceedings, Chief Executive Officer Eugine Yafele presented highlights of the last financial year and leaders answered questions from members of the community on topics such as mental health, education and support we provide for marginalised communities in the south east.
To conclude formalities, there was lively group discussion on a key focus area – how we can work together to deliver more healthcare in the community, rather than in a hospital setting.
An exhibition of the year’s programs of work was on display, with teams representing the various projects on hand to speak with attendees.
Represented on the posters were our Mental Health program, 3 posters from our Women’s and Newborn Program – including our Victorian Public Healthcare Award finalist – the Operative Vaginal Birth Safety Bundle…. plus the Monash Medical Centre Tower Expansion and our Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local.

The 2023/24 Open Board Meeting, held on 18 June 2024, explored the idea of appropriate care at home and in the community.
Board members spoke with members of the Monash Health workforce to outline the concept, implementation and results of this programme during implementation.
