Dr Rebecca Limb

Dr Rebecca Limb – MBBS, BMedSci, FRACS

Dr Rebecca Limb is an Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgeon who is originally from the United Kingdom but completed Neurosurgery training in Australia, three years of which were spent at Monash Health.

She has worked in both Victoria and South Australia as a neurosurgery trainee between 2015 and 2023. She attained her Fellowship in Neurosurgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2023, and went on to complete a fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, returning in mid-August 2024. She has clinical and research interests in Paediatric cerebrovascular conditions and in both Adult and Paediatric general neurosurgery. She is involved in academic and educational roles within Monash Health and is responsible for resident supervision in the Neurosurgery unit there.

Her overall philosophy towards treating patients – particularly paediatric- is that the patient and their family should play an active role in choosing their treatment options, and that parents are the best judge of their children’s health. Clear and compassionate communication, open and honest disclosure, and rigorous informed consent are the most important principles of her approach.
