Graduate Certificate of Specialist Nursing Practice (Renal)
Course Synopsis
The Graduate Certificate of Specialist Nursing Practice is a post-graduate program for Registered Nurses wishing to undertake specialist renal training. The course consists theory and a comprehensive clinical practice placements, with the aim of developing Nurses skills in Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Renal and Pancreas Transplant as well as problem solving, communication, and research skills. You will have the opportunity to experience and learn from one of the largest nephrology multi-disciplinary team in Victoria.

Selection Criteria
We are seeking a motivated and highly dynamic Nurse with minimum 1 year renal or acute nursing experience.
Successful applicants must complete 3 four month-rotations through acute renal/gastro ward, acute haemodialysis unit, satellite haemodialysis, and home dialysis therapies, which includes home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Must meet ACU admission requirements of 0.5 EFT on clinical placements (at Monash Health, we offer 0.8EFT) and complete 4 units of theory components.
*At completion of the course and fixed term opportunity (12 months appointment), ongoing employment opportunities within our service at Monash Health will be discussed.
