Serving the broader community of South Eastern suburbs, Mornington Peninsula, and the gateway to Gippsland, we are committed to providing high-quality health care services.

At Monash Health Adult Intensive Care Unit’s, we operate within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, serving as a tertiary referral center renowned for our expertise in various intricate specialties. These include Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Obstetrics, General Medicine and Surgery, ENT, Plastics, and Vascular care.

Our capabilities encompass both elective and emergency surgeries, showcasing our readiness to handle a wide spectrum of medical needs.

With a deep dedication to patient well-being and a commitment to excellence, our ICU stands as a cornerstone of advanced healthcare delivery, catering to the unique requirements of our diverse patient population.

Course Synopsis

The Post Grad Intensive Care Nursing Program at Monash Health equips nurse with specialised Critical Care skills. Balance hands-on clinical experience and interactive learning for a comprehensive training. Partnered with Monash and Deakin University, ensuring relevant education. Emphasises practicality, offering clinical rotations within Monash Health. Collaboration integrates theory with real-world scenarios, enhancing skill development. Supports nurses’ growth though through clinical placements and continuous learning, fostering critical thinking and decision-making. Tailored for nurse aspiring to excel in Critical care.

Selection Criteria

  1. Have a substantive post within Intensive Care
  2. Fit the enrolment criteria of the university
  3. Current working with children check
  4. Highly preferable to have completed Graduate Nurse Program and preferably with one to two years ward experience.
  5. Highly preferable to have completed Adult ICU Transition to Speciality Practice program (or equivalent)
  6. Highly desirable previous ICU experience

What Next

If this sounds like you, we have a number of opportunities across the organisation and welcome your application.

If you are successful you will participate in an 8/8/10 roster rotating earlies / lates / weekends.

You will undertake four weeks of days and two weeks of nights. We encourage EFT of 0.80 but will accept 0.70 or higher.
