Monash Simulation partnering Monash Intensive Care Units

Here’s a snapshot from our inaugural “Friday Procedure Workshop and Simulation Session” that occur once a month across the Dandenong and Casey Intensive Care Units. A fun time was had by all exploring the contents of the MET, code and transport bags and cracking the crash cart and mucking around (safely) with the defibrillator. Then putting into practice the use of the equipment in an immersive interactive simulation.

Thanks again to those nursing staff and medical staff who attended. Everyone from the Casey and Dandenong medical cohort and nursing staff are welcome to attend these multidisciplinary sessions designed across educational themes with interactive procedural workshops and simulations.

It is exciting to have a multidisciplinary group present for the procedures so teams can work together in optimising the care of Monash Health patients and learn from the lived experiences of each other in the environments where teams work.
