My work experience is extensive, spanning a broad range of national and state government funded clinical and translational projects for major research centres at both the University of Melbourne and Monash University, the Cancer Council of Victoria, and Western Health. I have studied the ontogeny of breathing and the development of the lungs in the newborn baby, and managed conservative treatments for knee osteoarthritis and evidence-based complementary therapies in women’s health. Most recently I have been involved in the development of methodologies and initiatives to identify people at high risk of developing cancer, particularly gastrointestinal and colorectal, and the production and validation of State triage categorisation guidelines for upper and lower endoscopies.
